The Pastoral of Solidarity is the charitable face of the Católicos em Ennis Community. Its mission is to welcome, listen, support and help people and families who pass through for moments of need, difficulty or fragility.
A pastoral care of care, listening and love for others
The Pastoral of Solidarity is born from the Christian call to take care of our brothers and sisters. It exists to make God's love concrete through acts of help, presence, attention, sharing and fraternal support.
In a community made up of Brazilians who live far from Brazil, solidarity has an even more special value. Many people face challenges with adaptation, work, health, family, housing, loneliness or financial difficulties.
To be in solidarity is to recognize Christ in our brothers and sisters and to transform faith into a concrete gesture of love, care and service.
Pastoral Mission
Caring for those who need it most
The Pastoral of Solidarity works to strengthen communion, promote fraternal help and create a support network within the Católicos em Ennis Community.
Help responsibly
Organize aid actions carefully, discreetly and responsibly, respecting the dignity of each person.
Promoting hope
To bring a friendly and Christian presence to those who feel alone, worried, discouraged or struggling.
Organize campaigns
Support charity campaigns, fundraisers, donations and relief initiatives according to the needs of the community.
Uniting faith and charity
Remember that prayer and action go together: faith becomes alive when it turns into concrete love.
Supporting Brazilians in Ireland
Be a supportive presence for Brazilians and families living far from home and they need welcome, guidance and fraternity.

Solidarity with dignity
Helping others must always be done with respect, care and discretion. Each person has their own story, their difficulties and their dignity, so the Pastoral of Solidarity seeks to act with responsibility and sensitivity.
More than offering material help, pastoral care wants to offer presence, listening, prayer and hope.
Spirituality of Solidarity
The Pastoral Care of Solidarity is born of the Gospel. Jesus teaches us to look at those who suffer, to draw close to those in need and to transform faith into concrete love. To serve in this pastoral care is to allow God to use our hands to care for our brothers and sisters.
